Did you know I host live twitter chats about fashion and style every Monday @2pm and Wednesday @3 pm EST? Yup. Join by searching #SpreadStyle on twitter at the start times and voila, you’re in!

Yesterday we chatted about wardrobe essentials. Spring is the best time to rethink what you have in your wardrobe, what to top up or throw out. The hour flew by in a flash and we had soo much fun! See my recap of the chat below.

Little Black Dress (LBD)

The consensus for the LBD is that it is one of the most important in a woman’s wardrobe. Depending on your mood, you can either splurge or save. We also talked about the versatility the LBD gives you. You can pair it with a blazer, go for a different sihoulette or pair it with a shirt underneath. Endless options.

Classic White Shirt

This another must have. Most agreed that you can splurge and save with this one. Try to splurge for your first (go-to) one tho. You won’t regret it. My fave pairing is under a dress, its so classic and chic!shirt

This was the best part of the chat. We loveeee shoes! Interesting enough, flats and pumps were top on most list’s as far as wardrobe essentials went. I went in thinking boots and sandals but nope! Those are apparently secondary.

Tailored Suit

Do splurge on this as you’ll never know when you will need it. A bad suit is like a bad shoes, they break any look.

Ofcourse the best part of owning a good suit is the many options you get out of the blazer. From skinny leather pants pairing to shorts to skirts to jeans. Endless options.

Structured Bag

There was really no rules with structured bags as far as size was concerned. With the emergence of minis, most girls were looking to snatch a mini structured bag. It was unanimous that when it comes to accessories (ie bags) and shoes, if you can, do splurge. They will serve as investment pieces.

Now, you’re all caught up! Join us tmrw (Wednesday @3pm). It will be a juicy one 😉
